Question about inside information?

I recently went to a GameStop, I am thinking of buying shares of society, to obtain information Basic sales associates. I asked him if he had noticed trends in sales, as most games are bought used, an overall decrease or increase shopping, and if they could warm recently. I did not ask anything specific revenue or sales numbers. The employee told me that I should call the office for obtain this information because it could be considered insider trading. This is not insider trading, right? What do you recommend to get answers my questions? I thought about going to another store and tell the employee who was writing a book for a class on trends in the gaming market, do you think that works?

store clerk has no information that is considered insider information. Use your head to control the store in her hometown. Stop again and start a conversation with a different employee. I do it all the time. Just start with something like, and make your business recession? Often, people open up and tell you everything you want to know. I once heard that a computer manufacturer in particular had a large number of faulty machines back. I called a shop that has handled the brand and asked if this brand is reliable and if they are back with many problems. The clerk said, "We have a lot of bad in back room, but if you buy one, keep them back until you find one that works. "I bought puts on the action and make some money on coming months, when news spread that they have horrible quarter.
